What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Modified on Mon, 01 Aug 2022 at 01:22 PM

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), also known as two-step verification, is a security feature that helps secure your CryptoWallet app and funds. When you have 2FA enabled on your CryptoWallet account, you need to provide a code sent to your device when you want to make a withdrawal to a bank account or external wallet, or in the event of suspicious activity being flagged.

You can choose a security key, which is the most secure method, or use an app like Google Authenticator or Duo. You can also simply have the code sent to your email or phone via SMS, which is less secure than other methods, but still adds another layer of protection.
