What is strong customer authentication (SCA)?

Modified on Mon, 01 Aug 2022 at 01:22 PM

SCA is a process used to verify the identity of someone using a payment service. SCA uses 4-digit codes sent to a mobile device in order to carry out authentication.

By default, CryptoWallet applies SCA to internal and external crypto transfers, outgoing SEPA and SWIFT payments, outgoing Faster Payments requests, and ePOS transactions. It also applies to login, password resets or changes, device confirmations, and phone number changes or re-verifications connected to your CryptoWallet account.
